Corruption In Nigeria
You might think what has corruption got to do with the Body of Christ and the spreading of the gospel. Corruption is slavery, and when a nation is subjugated to it, the whole nation is in bondage to it. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is about loosening those very bonds.
No one who has friends, relatives or other associations with Nigeria can deny that the corruption in Nigeria is reaching record proportions. This is consistent with perception surveys as detailed by Transparency International (international anti corruption non governmental organisation). They have ranked Nigeria over the last few years the worst corrupt nation on the earth, second only to Bangladesh.
I have put together some proposals that have already been accepted by some of the business community in Nigeria, in the form of presentation slides to set up a new association: Nigeria Anti-corruption Watch to tackle this problem from within Nigeria.
CLICK HERE for the Nigeria Anti-corruption Watch presentation (10 pages) as a Word document (286kb). (Please note it takes about less than a minute to download with 56k modem.)
If you are either living in Nigeria or going there and want to use the presentation, please freely go ahead and let me know how you get on.
Also, the contact details in Nigeria for the person who is responsible for co-ordinating the work of the structure for the new Nigeria Anti-corruption Watch association:
Pastor Wale Adediran, Power Cathedral Church, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. Tel: 02-2414865, 08033261405. Email: enibal@skannet.com
Best regards in Christ.
Rev. Stephen Hammond
